What? I am almost done being trained! what? I may be sent somewhere crazy. I could train! On Sunday we will get the call that determines if we stay or go… THE ANTICIPATION.

This week was super sunny! It was grand. We had a good week. We taught a lot of lessons and found a lot of new people. We have a few people progressing, so that is great!

Today, Monday, we went to Slain Castle with Sabine and Ethan. That was soooo fun! I climbed all over everything and just had an amazing time! I’m not sure what else to say about the week. It was another amazing, beautiful week, in Aberdeen!
Love ya to the moon and back.

This Week Was SO Crazy and SO Amazing.

DSCF0405This week was so crazy and so amazing.
Tuesday we were able to see the BYU ballroom dancers and they are soooo good and it was super fun. We were able to go with Sabine. It was like a girls’ night out before her baptism on Wednesday. Wednesday, we had three lessons and SABINE WAS BAPTIZED! ah such an amazing experience! I am filled with so much joy for her! There are no words to express the way I feel. Thursday was another great day we had ZIT (zone interview training) with all the missionaries in the Aberdeen area. President and Sister Donaldson had us over to their hotel for breakfast before and it was delicious and so fun to have time with them. They are so amazing and so inspired. In my interview with President he told me that he does not believe in chance–it is all how it was meant to be and we are here to be with the people that we are with. And we were both called to this mission so that we can be together and learn from one another. And that he looks forward to the day when he shakes my husband’s hand and plays with my children. He is so amazing and full of love. I look forward to that day as well! The zone leaders also talked about sanctifying ourselves and becoming a holy zone, that we need to give ourselves to the Lord and do all that is asked of us. We gave up so much to be here and we should not let this time go to waste, because THIS IS THE WORK OF SALVATION. Then President Donaldson called everyone to repentance and it was super intense and the spirit was so strong. It is so amazing how inspired the leaders of the mission and the leaders of the church are. It was a really great day and we were able to see so many of our fellow missionaries and have fun. Then on Friday we went to Edinburgh on exchanges with the STLs. I was with Sister Stapply and it was really fun to learn from her. So, let’s just say, it was an amazing missionary week.

Hey Hey Hey from Aberdeen

Hey Hey Hey,

It was a really sunny week in Aberdeen and that is VERY unusual. but I loved it! and I am praying that it stays that way. We have so many new amazing people that we get to teach! and they are from all over. We have a girl from Nigeria, one from China and one from India, we also have another boy that is from Africa and one that is Muslim. so wow. none that are even Scottish. There was a baptism on Friday for a girl named Vicky she is so sweet I love her I got to speak at her baptism about baptism, so that was really cool that I got to do that. We got to teach a lot of first lessons this week and tell people about the restoration of the gospel I LOVE the restoration. and the spirit is always so strong when we share Joseph Smiths vision with those that we teach.
I Love this Gospel,  I live this gospel, and I want to share this joyous news with anyone that will listen.
LOVE Ya’ll

Aberdeen Scotland – May 30, 2016

This week was  good a little slow but hopefully some of the people we have found will be new members someday. That would be super groovy. We had about 13 lessons planned this week and we only ended up teaching 7 so sometimes that is hard.
This week Sabine was able to go to the temple grounds with her boyfriend (Ethan a member) and she loved it! She said it was so peaceful and there are no words to describe the feelings there she just sat in silence the whole time and she is so excited to go through the temple in a year. She also got a mini quad and she is so excited to have it. She got me and Sister Esplin “A Future as Bright as Your Faith” daily thoughts from President Monson. She is so thoughtful and kind. Her baptismal interview is this week and her baptism will be on Wednesday the 8th! I am so grateful to be privileged to teach her and witness her faith grow and see her spirit radiate the joy that comes with the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. That was definitely the highlight of my week other than that on Sunday president and sister Donaldson stopped in our ward and we where able to see them and talk a little, I love them they are so kind and loving.
Last night was moves call so everyone in the mission gets called and you’re told if you have to move areas and companions or not. Elder White likes to play jokes on us, so when he called us he was all ” how solid is Sabine. We just wanna make sure that when we move you it will not make her leave or anything and that we can move you.” 100% serious and we couldn’t tell if he was serious or not. Luckily he was kidding and we get to stay in Aberdeen for at least one more transfer.

I love the people I serve. I love God. I Love this gospel. And I LOVE our Savior, Jesus Christ.

May 9 – Aberdeen, Scotland

Wow it has been an amazing week! I know I say that every week, but this week was extra amazing. From the conference and seeing everyone and learning how to be a better servant of the Lord to Sunday it has been absolutely fantastic!
This week we had an all of Scotland conference and it was super awesome. We got up at 4am and took a train to Edinburgh, it was like 3 hours. I got  to meet so many missionaries and see my MTC companion Sister Cole! I love her and miss her often. I can just be a goober around her and she is a goober right back. It was just super great, it gets you so pumped to be a missionary!
On Saturday an appointment was cancelled and so we where finding and we ran in to this guy Constantine and he said that he was trying to stop smoking but he was also on his way to get some cigarettes but then we stopped him and it was the sign he needed and that we where like angles sent from God so we where like sure are you free now to talk? He was so we went to the park and had a lesson. We have another lesson with him tomorrow so we will see how it goes. There was also a baptism and that was awesome!!! Unfortunately one of our investigators, Kieran, dropped us and doesn’t want to meet anymore. That was sad. We told our zone leader Elder Thayne and he was like “awww man I’m so sorry about that”. And then his companion Elder Quinten pipes up and says “I feel impressed by the holy ghost to tell you guys that your diligence, loyalty and hard work that you put in with Kieran will bring you many more solid investigators In the near future.” then the very next day…
Drum role here comes the miracle story of the week.
So my mom is  a convert to the church and before I left she would always say “When you’re on your mission you’re going to be able to find and teach a young woman like me and help her get the blessing that this gospel brings and that will bless her family just like the gospel has blessed our life.” and I shared this in a testimony I was able to give in relief society yesterday and then after church me and Sister Esplin where introduced to a young woman named Sabine and she looked at me and said that she was going to be that one that I was talking about and told us that she wanted to get taught and wants to be baptized! This moment made me want to sing and dance and thank, thank, thank the Lord. We are so blessed to have met her and we will be teaching her tonight, and all this week we hope for her baptism at the end of the month!!!
I love this work and I love this gospel and I love to love the Lords children.
Good things are happening,
Sister Bohman

Sunday’s are super cool
Everyone prepares a talk, then when you get to sacrament meeting they choose six people to talk. Then we watched Meet the Mormons, and The Restoration.

It is super awesome here, it is an emotional roller coaster. One minute I am just skipping down the hall, then the next minute I am just like “I just wanna hug a boy”.

There are 60 missionaries at the England MTC, it is going to be really sad when we say good bye to everyone but we cannot even hug the boys. I am just like, I want to hug you because you are super awesome and you deserve a hug but you just can’t. I just gotta deal with it. That is going to be one of the hardest things on a mission, not hugging the boys. Sister Cole agrees with me, our boys are awesome, we are going to miss them so much.

All the boys here think it is so weird that I love cows so much. It came up because we were talking about the Scottish fluffy cows.

Everyone in our district are going to different missions, so we won’t see them anymore, or like ever.

Elder Wong is in our district, he is from China. He is here 6 weeks to learn English. He is very funny and like to give everyone knick names. Sister Cole is Sister Coca Cola, I am Sister Man.

Elder Midgley is from around Preston England, he has been involved in the pageants and the Nauvoo pageant, so we really connect on how awesome that is.

Our district leader, Elder Anderson, is from Canada, he is cool and really funny. He is a mighty man of God. Everyone I’ve met is super awesome.

One of the Elder’s added a quote to my quote book
“Be a pineapple, stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside” All the missionaries are like pineapples.

Tomorrow, April 19, we go to our mission.

Week One

DSCN0028What??? It’s already been a week?!?!?!? Time here is so weird because I feel like it’s been a year, but it also only feels like two seconds. Everyone I have met is amazing and all the accents are crazy awesome too! My companion Sister Cole is the most amazing ever. like really. We are so incredibly comfortable and she looks sooo much like Tessa. It’s kinda crazy. It’s cool because we met before our last flight before we got here. It’s super cool because even the elders will come up to us and be like “Yeah ya’ll are really amazing and we can tell you are the most loving companionship of the bunch and that is super cool.” MTC life is realy cool and fun. We have every minute scheduled so it’s weird to now have a day that is not exactly planned for us. The food is super good. So we have this pond outside and there are these two geese that live there and Mrs. Goose decided to lay eggs, so Mr. Goose is very protective. and it’s kinda funny bc people will go out there and then Mr Goose will go run at them. It still doesn’t feel quite real. It’s also crazy this time next week I’ll be traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland! So, don’t send anything else here. Just send it to the mission home. We get to go to the temple today and im super excited about that! And the people in my district are super amazing and my district leader is super amazing.

I am here!!!!!

I am here!!!!!! After a long journey i have made it to the MTC (Preston, England) and I found two sisters and an elder along the way so we struggled through it together. It’s kind of cold here but in a very refreshing way.
